Macaroons & Mad Cravings


After being deprived in Paris for so long , we finally gave in . Gave in to the deliciousness of the entire city . There's something the pastries and desserts in this city that absolutely brings a smile on my face. It is simply divine . I mean , when Marie Antoinette said let them eat cake , i'll happily mange ma gateaux et plus , which roughly translates to eat my cake and more. I know words can not adequately describe the wonderful desserts i've had for the past 2 days , but i shall try .

Macaroons
I took a bite off the Stawberry Macaroon from Jun and let me just say that , they make the macaroons at bakerzin taste like plain biscuits . This one was sinfully pink , beckoning you take a bite and taste the sweet almond shell and all it melt it in your mouth together with the perfect fresh strawberry puree. It's simply to die for .

Lemon Meringue Pie aka citron meringue
As much as Surekha claim that lemon merigue pie just reminds her for washing detergent . I beg to differ. The meringue , more decadent than pure cream , gives the pie the adequate sweetness to counteract with the fresh taste of lemon with each bite you take. The crust of the pie adds the hint of vanilla and butter into the awesome dessert.

Chocolate Tart
No fuss right here , It's simply tart crust with chocolate filled to the brim . The surprise comes as you sink your teeth and you get a taste of the richest possible taste of chocolate . The chocolate brings an immediate smile to your face as you stare in awe at the yummy brown chocolate sauce slowly oozing out of the tart, beckoning you to take another bite.

Creme Brulee
Custard with a layer of burnt sugar . I've never been a fan of custard till now . The smooth texture of the custard coupled with the sweet vanilla in the custard is only further pushed to the stratospheric limits of dessert heaven with the layer of burnt sugar to provide a explosion of taste .

Apple Crumble
It makes you want to sue Macdonalds for even misleading the public into buying their brand of shitty apple pies. The apple crumble here just melts in your mouth . The apple pieces left to bake in a delicious syrup until they are so soft that they hardly stay on ur fork . It immediately dissolves in your mouth and the crumble counters any sourness the apple pie might otherwise have with a sweet buttery flavour to make it extremely satisfying .


Okay . i'm going dessert hunting tmrw . I'm quite sure they put some kind of drugs into their desserts now . No wonder people keep talking about french desserts . It's to die for.
